TJAC threatens Young Tiger

Young Tiger NTR might have been happy in his heart till now when seemandhra protestors warned Mega heroes Mega Power Star Ram Charan, Power Star Pawan Kalyan that their films will never be screened unless until Mega Star Chiranjeevi supports United Andhra Pradesh.

This resulted in their much awaited flicks Yevadu and Attarintiki Daaredi running scared and postponing their release. NTR stayed silent and with his dad Harikrishna a virtual non entity in politics no one cared about him though TDP leader Chandra Babu came to terms with two states.

However all problem started when Harikrishna after agreeing to Telangana virtually did U turn and resigned from MP seat today in Rajya Sabha. He even shot a letter supporting United Andhra Pradesh and revealed his intentions to go on yatra.

This infuriarated Telangana supporters and OU JAC today warned NTR to clarify whether he is for or against Telangana else face the music of his films getting stopped in Telangana region. JAC members said “We condemn Harikrishna’s resignation in support of the Samaikhyandhra agitation. We will not allow the screening of Jr NTR’s films in the Telangana region”,. Wonder what NTR will say as his film Ramayya Vastavayya is ready for release on Sep 27th.

Ram Charan and Zanjeer team at 'Jhalak Dhiklaa Jaa'

Chiranjeevi,Harikrishna-Cherry,NTR's villains!

Many till recently hailed Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Seetayya Harikrishna as the most protective fathers of Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger NTR. While Chiru was instrumental in Ram Charan's Bollywood entry which created immense interest as the film turned out to be Big B Amitabh Bachchan's Zanjeer remake, Harikrishna protected NTR from hounding Balakrishna and Chandra Babu apart from others.

However Chiranjeevi's and Harikrishna's decisions during Telangana formation and seemandhra protests, affected Ram Charan's and NTR's upcoming entertainers. While Chiranjeevi's pro telangana stand and clinging to his Ministership resulted in postponement of Ram Charan's Yevadu and also casting clouds on Toofan/Zanjeer release.

Till recently NTR is in safe zone with his Ramayya Vastavayya and Rabhasa facing no tension for his releases scheduled for next month and later. But Now Harikrishna taking a U turn after supporting Telangana and now resigning for samaikyandhra NTR landed in firing zone.

This is leading to impression with Chiranjeevi and Harikrishna are turning Ram Charan and NTR's villains

Mega Power Star Ram Charan's Bollywood debut project Zanjeer may have got involved in legal tangels. However Ram Charan is attracting the attention of all after he has daringly took the project of starring in Big B Amitabh's remake when none of the Bollywood stars dared to do it.

Now the film is bracing for grand release on Sep 6th. The film's promos have started and it will go in full swing when filmmakers and lead cast of the film will participate in Jahalak Dikhlaa Jaa 6. Harikrishna,NTR insult Balakrishna?

Balakrishna performed his daughter Tejaswini wedding today in a grand manner. Many guests, celebrities from political and film arena graced the occasion. While even Balakrishna's bitter rival Mega Star Chiranjeevi graced the occasion and blessed the new couple, shockingly Balakrishna's brother Harikrishna and his son NTR stayed away from the marriage. However Harikrishna's son Kalyan Ram attended the marriage.

Many are highly critical of Harikrishna and NTR. Though Balakrishna didnot invite NTR for engagement, he personally went to NTR's house and invited him for marriage. People thought that NTR will forget all differences and attend the wedding.

However shockingly NTR and Harikrishna didnot attend the marriage thus insulting Balakrishna. Many felt whatever may be the differences, they should have attended the marriage.

Balakrishna arrests Mega Star!

Balakrishna performed his second daughter Tejaswini's wedding with Sri Bharath in a grand manner today morning at Hitex, Hyderabad. Many celebrities from Tollywood and political circles came and blessed the newly wed couple.

The moment for shutter bugs came when Nata Simha arrested Mega Star with his bear hug. A lot has been written about Balakrishna's and Chiranjeevi's comments attributing rivalry between them.

However this one occasion showed that all is well between TDP leader Balakrishna and Union Minister, Congress leader Chiranjeevi. Irrespective of their past and present competition between them in films and politics, this one occasion showed they hold no grude between them.

Star Portrait-Rajinikanth

His dialogues pack that extra punch and his mannerisms are mimicked by the young and old alike. He is the 'Superstar' the crowds swear by. As he turns a year older today, we attempt to decode the magic that is Rajinikanth.
With “Endhiran/Robot” Rajinikanth has once again proved that he can give all the Khan's, the Deols and the Bachchan's of Bollywood and some popular names in Indian movie industry a run for their money any day. And that is perhaps why Rajinikanth is the ultimate word when it comes to super stardom.
This birthday is special for Rajinikanth. In keeping with the traditions, he has tied the knot with his wife once again.
According to the reports he will not be throwing a huge big bash nor address his fans as he usually does. He will spend it with his family, which has seen two additions this year, his new son-in-law, Ashwin and his daughter Aishwarya's baby.
Rajini's rise to stardom has all the elements of a perfect movie script. The year was 1975. Rajinikanth, a bus conductor by profession, decided to go down to Chennai with the dream of making it big in movies. He was spotted by none other than K Balachandar who is reported to have said, “There is fire in this young man's eyes. One day, he will take Tamil cinema by storm”. Rajini has in the last three decades proved K Balachandar is right.
Rajinikanth's roles were critically acclaimed right from his first flick “Apoorva Ragangal”. He was cast in supporting roles and has paired up with Kamal Hassan in many movies. While Kamal went on to be a great actor and Rajini set his own trailblazing trend. In the beginning he played the villain role with so much of ease that the women kept away from him.
He entered Telugu cinema through “Anthuleni Katha”, which was directed by K. Balachander, whom Rajinikanth has called his guru (Mentor). Though Rajinikanth refers to director K. Balachander as his mentor, it was director S. P. Muthuraman who revamped Rajinikanth’s image entirely
Typical Rajini mannerisms became a craze. His dialogues were on every ones lips. He made his Bollywood debut with “Andha Kanoon” alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
Rajini had arrived. And, the Indian movie industry was not the only one which was watching. His film “Muthu” was dubbed into Japanese. This brought him international acclaim. Newsweek dubbed him as one of the trendiest heartthrob. Back home, he was busy, with each of his flicks “Baba”, “Chandramukhi”, “Sivaji - The Boss” were all super hits.
Even though he did not have too many major releases this decade, there has never been a dip for this actor's popularity. Remember the articles you read before, about fans camping out a day in advance infront of movie halls, the arties and special pujas they offered to their hero’s cutout, before “Robot” was released then, you can follow what we are trying to say.
Even with for all this fanfare, Rajinikanth is a simple man. A compassionate humanitarian, a doting father, a good husband and over all a star who always has time to spare for the causes of the common man.
He is one of those superstars who maintain close bonds with the friends he has made in the industry. He has been quoted as saying that Amitabh Bachchan is one of the actors he is inspired by.
The celebrations have begun officially with the traditional functions which are open just to close friends and family. And we wish him a pleasant year ahead.

Star Portrait-Sr NTR

The moment people hears of three letters NTR, they will be remembering Lord Rama, Lord Krishna or their other favorite Gods. Such is the power even now the name casts on people cutting across regions and parties. Born on 28ht May 1923 in Nimmakuru, Krishna district, to Lakshmaiah and Venkataramamma, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao was adopted by his father's brother Ramaiah and his wife Chandramma. NTR made his tollywood debut in 1949 with 'Maro Charitra' in a role of police officer in direction of LV.Prasad. Many used to tell stories that he was so engrossed in the role that he beat people in real as police officer. He shared screen presence with another legend ANR in 'Palletoori Pilla' in BA.Subbarao's direction. NTR became demigod to masses as Rama in Lavakusa and Krishna in ‘Mayabazar.’ His powerful dialogues ripping apart caste system as Duryodhana in 'Dana Veera Soora Karna' still rings in the ears of everyone. He played the role of Karna and Krishna also in the blockbuster. He also won accolades for his roles as Bheeshma (Bheeshma) & Ravana (Bhookailas & Sri Sita rama kalyanam). All in all he became Lord Rama 12 times and Lord Krishna 6 times.Wonder how he became 'Viswa Vikhyata Natasarwabhowma'?. Revered paramacharya Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham after watching his spellbounding performance as Ravana in 'Bhookailas' conferred him with the honor.

NTR's 'Patala Bhairavai' was the only south Indian film selected for 1952 international film festival. He showed to other heroes how to endear to masses with is masala steps in 'Aggiramudu' and his socio fantasy films 'Devantakudu','Yamagola' became talking point. Hit 'Rakta Sambandham' is even now remixed for successes and his dual role in 'Ramudu Bheemudu' spell bound not only tollywood movie lovers but also other regions so much so that it was remade in 6 languages. He for the first time showed how to add political flavor in films with 'Kadhanayakudu' and his commercial block busters include 'Adavi Ramudu', ''Nippulanti Manishi', 'Yugandhar', 'Bobbili Puli' etc. People will be surprised to know that though he failed metric many times he has one of the chaste and powerful dialogue delivery unmatched in the industry even now. People still remember as 'NT vodu' and 'Anna' and love him for his speeches.  Unlike many top heroes he inspired many of his fans like Sobhan Babu and Krishna to become heores in his hay days and NTR never thought them as his competors but thoroughly encouraged them. Natasekhara Krishna earned the sole distinction of become a hero from being a fan and NTR provided lots of opportunites for Sobhan Babu in his banner.

NTR won best actor award for 'Badi Pantulu' and best director award for 'Varakatnam' and 'Seetarama Kalyanam'. Govt of India garlanded him with 'Padmasri' award and many even now feel that he would have bagged many more prestigious awards had he remained apolitical. But once he took a plunge in politics, he never looked back becoming CM with in 9 months of starting a party in 1983. He stunned everyone touring entire state on his Chaitanya Ratham in election campaign in 1982. His 'Atma Gauravam' connected chord with commoners and even during strong sympathy wave during Indira Gandhi's assassination he stood tall. He played a key role in Third Front or National Front at Centre but chose to concentrate on state politics though many urged him to play important role in centre.

In between he lost power but again came back with vengeance in 1994 promising total ban on liquor and 2rs Kilo rice. He kept his promise however hard hit the treasury due to the ban. But his rejunivation was short-lived due to coup led by Chandrababu Naidu. He was credited for making revolutionary change in law enabling even daughters’ equal rights on properties inherited by parents. Whatever may be his shortcomings tollywood and movie lovers across world remember him for his spell bounding acting, powerful dialogues and terrific films.

This is in sync with his popular dialogue in Tagore where he says 'telugulo naaku nachchani oke okka padam Kshaminchu'.

Shruti Haasan’s second song came in “Hey Ram” where she sang the bilingual versions of the title theme, ‘Rama Rama’ with her father, in Hindi and in Tamil. The album from Ilayaraaja, which was critically praised, won Shruti Haasan accolades for her efforts with reviewers, Screen India praising that she “has the makings of a good singer, and with some training she should go great guns”.

Shruti Haasan had the opportunity to sing with veteran singer K J Yesudas for the movie ‘En Mana Vaanil’ under Ilaiyaraaja’s music. The song was ‘Roattorap paattuch chaththam’. The movie was released in 2002. She has sung in a Tamil film, for Gautham Menon’s “Vaaranam Aayiram” under the composition of Harris Jayaraj. As of November 2008, Haasan is also midway through her untitled debut album, which she has composed, written and sung, and is set for release in mid-2009. A further song was recorded under her voice for her Hindi film “Luck”.

Music composing

After much speculation, Shruti Hassan is the music composer of the bilingual film “Unnaipol Oruvan” in Tamil and “Eenadu” in Telugu which released in 2009, with lead role played by her father Kamal Hassan who is also co-producer of the movie under Rajkamal International. The bilingual, is a remake of the successful Hindi film,  “A Wednesday!”, but the soundtracks of both the projects are entirely separate. Apart from this, Shruti Hassan is also the vocalist of an alternative rock band.

As Actress

After pursuing a career in singing, Shruti Hassan branched out a career into modelling. She started by starring appearing in the Frappe! Magazine version of September 2007, since then she has gone on to appear in Verve. In 2000, Shruti Haasan made her cinematic debut in the Tamil and Hindi bilingual film “Hey Ram” directed by her father. She made a cameo appearance as the daughter of Vallabhai Patel in the biopic of Mahatma Gandhi. After rejecting prominent film offers, most notably the lead role in Venkat Prabhu‘s “Saroja” reports suggested in late 2007 that Shruti was set to make her full debut as a heroine in 2008 with a movie opposite Madhavan directed by “Nishikanth Kamath”. Despite Madhavan admitting that the news was premature, she signed up to the film, which was titled Endrendrum Punnagai, only to be stalled prior to production. Eventually Hassan signed up to Soham Shah‘s Luck opposite Imran Khan, a Bollywood film. However, despite the film gathering much publicity prior to release, it became a critical and commercial flop. Shruti Hassan’s second Hindi feature film was Madhur Bhandarkar’s romantic comedy “Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji” in which Shruti Hassan appeared in an extended guest appearance alongside an ensemble cast of Emraan Hashmi, Ajay Devgn and Shazahn Padamsee. Shruti’s performance gained poor responses from critics with a reviewer however the film went on to become a commercial success at the box office.

Shruti then went on to appear alongside Blaze in the promotional videos for “Unnaipol Oruvan” and “Eenadu”, the bilingual films in Tamil and Telugu starring her father, which she had composed the music. It was in the year 2010 that Shruti starred in an English film “Hisss” where she was seen as playing herself. This was yet again for a promotional video, so she had a special appearance. She made her Telugu debut in January 2011, acting opposite Siddharth in the fantasy adventure film “Anaganaga O Dheerudu” directed by Prakash Kovelamudi son of director K. Raghavendra Rao. The film was co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The film opened to positive reviews, with her performance being praised with critics. The film however became a commercial failure at the box office, and the film failed to capitulate on a hefty promotional campaign which had been undertaken. In mid-2010, Shruti was signed by A. R. Murugadoss to star opposite Suriya in his next film 7aum Arivu, and the film's shoot began in June later that year.

The film opened to mixed reviews, but became commercially successful. Her next Telugu release was “Oh My Friend” a romantic comedy film alongside Siddharth again which also co-starred Hansika Motwani and Navdeep. The film opened to average reviews. Shruti Haasan was next seen in Aishwarya Dhanush's directorial debut “3” a romantic drama film co-starring Dhanush. The film only garnered average returns at the box office. Her second release in 2012 was Harish Shankar's Telugu film “Gabbar Singh” a remake of the 2010 Hindi film “Dabangg” with the version featuring her alongside Pawan Kalyan. The film went on to become a large commercial success at the box office and created more film offers for the actress. Her next release in Telugu is “Balupu” with Ravi Teja. Shruti will be a part of upcoming Telugu movie “Yevadu” which has Ram Charan Teja in the lead as well as Prabhu Deva's new venture in Hindi. This movie features producer Kumar Taurani's son Girish Kumar.
