Star Portrait-Sekhar Kammula



Personal

Sekhar Kammula was born on February 4, 1972 (age 41) at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He is the most popular  Indian film director, screenwriter and producer in Tollywood.

Education

He did his schooling at St. Patrick's High School, Secunderabad. He completed his intermediate studies from St. Alphonsa's and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology.

He did MS Computer Sciences at New Jersey, US.  After a brief stint in the IT industry, he enrolled in the MFA program at Howard University, Washington, D.C.

Film Career

Anand, his second film turned out to be a hit after his first film, Dollar Dreams was a critical success, and won him the National Film Award for best debutant director.

He met moderate success with Godavari but his Happy Days turned out to be a smash hit and was even remade in Tamil and Kannada. He was a writer for Tamil version which was released in 2010. He then directed Leader released on 19 February 2010 to positive reviews. His new venture "Life is Beautiful" is a box office hit too with lots of positive feedback.

He is currently remaking Kahaani in Telugu as Anamika. Sekhar Kammula is going to direct his first Hindi film which is a remake of Happy Days. The Hindi version will be produced by renowned film maker Shekhar Kapoor. The film will feature several new faces and Sekhar Kammula will start scouting for new faces in Mumbai and Pune, through the same process which he employed for the Telugu film. The screenplay for the film is being written by Mumbai-based writer Nikhil Mahajan.

Rana Daggubati popular as Rana is an Indian film actor and producer. He was born on December 14, 1984 in Chennai to film producer Suresh Babu, son of Dr. Ramanaidu and elder brother of famous hero Venkatesh. He completed his high school studies in Hyderabad.

Film career:

As a Hero;

Rana made his debut in telugu with Shekar kammula ‘Leader’, a political thriller in 2010. The film received good critics and made rana as heart throb for many girls for his stunning body.  He continued to act in movies. In 2011 he played a role of serial killer in ‘Nenu na Rakshasi’ directed by Puri Jagannadh, which is a hit on screen.

In 2012 he acted in social conceptual movie Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum under Krish direction, is a box office blast.

Rana made his bollywood debut with Dum Maaro Dum and became popular as dashing debutant in bollywood followed by Ram gopal varma Department.

He will be making his debut in Tamil through Ajith Kumar's Valai.

In 2013 he bagged two big budget projects one is Gunashekar’s  Rudhramadevi andother is S. S. Rajamouli's Baahubali, an epic film in which he will play a negative role.

Rana will also be seen in a cameo role in Ayan Mukerji's next filmYeh Jawaa.ni Hai Deewani starring Ranbhir kappor and Deepika Padukone.

As a Producer:

Rana worked as Visual effects producer for Mahesh babu Sainikudu and produced his first film Bommalata- A Bellyful of Dreams in telugu.

 Awards:

Rana won the Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Special Effects in 2006 for Telugu film Sainikudu and National Film Award for Bommalata as Best Feature Film in Telugu.

He also received the Filmfare Award for Leader in Telugu as Best Male Debut – South.

Power Star to make political entry!



Pawan Kalyan's mania is known to all and its power is immeasurable. Even in the current turmoil AP is facing with state virtually divided into Telangana and Seemandhra supporters, calls for his political entry is growing.

Maveric director Ram Gopal Varma after watching the viral effect of his song Katama Rayuda in Attarintiki Daaredi, shared his feelings through twitter.

He asked Pawan Kalyan to join politics and said he is better leader than MGR or Chiranjeevi. He said had Pawan led Praja Rajyam, it would have swept to power.

Ramu said if he joins even he who didnot vote in his life will stand in queue to vote for him. He said he is not saying all this for chances or as director and has nothing against Chiranjeevi but is praising the power of Power Star Pawan Kalyan.
