Star Portrait-Harish Shankar



Harish Shankar is renowned film writer and director. He was born on 31st March, 1977 in an agraharam in Dharmapuri, Karimnagar district (one km from Godavari River) into a family of orthodox Brahmins. He was brought up in BHEL, Hyderabad where his father worked as a Telugu master.


Film Debut

Harish made his debut in 2006 with Shock casting Raviteja and Jyothika. The film turned out to be a disaster but Raviteja however promised him to do another film under his direction.

Harish did Mirapakaya with Raviteja in 2011 and the film completed 50 days in 113 centers. This established Harish in the industry and the next film  Gabbar Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan And Shruthi Haasan, is a Telugu adaptation of the 2010 Hindi film Dabangg. The movie received extremely positive response from the critics as well as the moviegoing public. The movie was marked as one of the biggest hits in both Pawan Kalyan's career and the Telugu film industry. Gabbar Singh created a new opening-day box office record for the Telugu film industry and stands among the most lucrative openers ever in the Indian film industry.

Most recently, Harish Shankar is working with Jr. NTR on a film that was scheduled to begin shooting at the end of 2012.

Prakash Raj is a popular character artist. He was born on 26 March 1965  in Puttur, Karnataka in a Bunt family.

Education

He completed schooling at St. Joseph's Boys' High School, Bangalore and  later joined St. Joseph's College of Commerce, Bangalore.

Personal

 Prakash Rai changed his name to Prakash Raj based on prominent Tamil  film director K. Balachander's advice, however he is still called Prakash  Rai in his home town Karnataka.Prakash married actress Lalitha Kumari in  1994. They have two daughters—Meghana and Pooja and a son, Sidhu. Sidhu  died of injuries sustained in a fall in 2004.The couple divorced in  2009.He married choreographer Pony Verma on August 24, 2010

Films

 He is actor, director, producer and television presenter, who mainly  works in the South Indian film industry. After working in the Kannada  cinema for a few years, he entered Tamil film industry, through K.  Balachander in his movie Duet (1994). In remembrance, he named his  production company Duet Movies. He has played a variety of roles,  most notably as the antagonist and of late, as a character actor. He has  won a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1998 for Mani  Ratnam's Iruvar and a National Film Award for Best Actor in 2009 for his  role in Kanchivaram, a Tamil film directed by Priyadarshan. Prakash  Raj is also the host of Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi from the game show's  second season onwards.

Producer

Prakash Raj Produced Naanu Nanna Kanasu in Kannada (2010), a remake of his own Tamil production Abhiyum Naanum.His latest directorial venture is a Tamil – Telugu bilingual, sports venture Dhoni named after Indian cricket captain.

Director

He took on the mantle of director and has directed several movies in Tamil (Kollywood). Most of the movies he produced turned out to be box-office hits and were also critically acclaimed.

He produced the movie Dhaya in which he acted as the hero with actress Meena which was a hit and earned him a special jury award for his performance.. He made Puttakkana Highway in Kannada which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada in 2011.

Veera Venkata Vinayak who is well known as VV Vinayak is famous Telugu cinema director and Story writer who has the potential to deal with stars such as Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna,Venkatesh, Allu Arjun, Jr. NTR, Nitin and Prabhas. He was born on October 9th in 1974 Chagallu, West Godavari district. He was born in a middle class family his father is Krishna Rao is small business man.  He completed his schooling and college in west Godavari only. Most of his movies have had big stars in the lead. He was well noticed with his first movie “Aadi” which was a blockbuster at the time of its release. Surveillance his directorial capabilities, Balakrishna offered him “Chennekeshava Reddy”. After that he made a youthful film called “Dil” that established Dil Raju, a highly successful producer today in the Telugu film industry. Vinayak also won many accolades after directing Chiranjeevi's “Tagore”. Then, he did “Samba” with NTR, and “Bunny” with Allu Arjun, tasting success both times. His next flick with Venkatesh “Laxmi” reinstated the magnificence lost by Venkatesh as a mass hero. It initially started off as an average grosser, but went onto become one of the biggest hits in Venky's career. His next film “Yogi” made Prabhas as mass hero.  Ravi Teja’s “Krishna” released in 2008 proved to be very successful. With this movie, Vinayak endeavoured into romantic comedies. After that beyond his formula of fraction he made a comedy, love and action film “Adhurs” with Jr. NTR which has proved NTR and Vinayak as a versatile actor and director. “Adhurs” became one of the biggest hit in the career of NTR. After this his next two project with Mega family heroes only one is “Badrinath” with Allu Arjun and next his “Naayak” with Ram Charan. Both are action oriented film and created a normal talk at box office due to heavy action sequences. Now, he currently busy with Bellamkonda Suresh son’ Srinivas debut venture and this film is not yet titled.

Star Portrait-Trivikram Srinivas



Trivikram Srinivas is the most popular dialogue writer, screen writer and film director. He is known for his films Chiru Navvutho, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Nuvve Nuvve, Malliswari and Athadu for which he won Nandi awards as best script writer.

Birth

He was named  Akella Naga Srinivasa Sarma and was born in Bhimavaram on 7th November, 1972.

Education

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from DNR College in Bhimavaram. Trivikram was introduced to Telugu Industry by Sunil. He holds an M.Sc, and was a gold medalist from Andhra University in Physics.

Film Debut

While teaching comedian Gautam Raju’s children, he developed contacts in the industry. Swayamvaram was the first film for which he got a chance to frame dialogues. But the movie Nuvve Kavali released before that and became his debut with dialogues. The dialogues which made him famous are Chirunavvutho, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Malliswari, Manmadhudu, Jalsa and Khaleja.

Nuvve Nuvve was his critically acclaimed directorial debut for which he has also done playback singing. It was Athadu that strengthened his rank and position by bringing him the Filmfare Best Director Award. He has also directed Jalsa.



Film Career

Trivikram was interested in directing but Sunil, his friend and roommater from college,  introduced Trivikram to T.D.V. Prasad, who asked Trivikram to write the dialogue for the climax scene of the movie he was working on. Prasad, impressed with the result, then asked Trivikram to work as an assistant to director K. Vijaya Bhaskar. It was during this project the Trivikram received an offer to write dialogue for the movie Swayamvaram. Though Swayamvaram was his first movie, Nuvve Kavali released first.

Star Portrait-Srikanth Addala



Srikanth Addala attained popularity on debut. His film Kotta Bangaru Lokam starring Varun Sandesh and Swetha Basu Prasad appealed to youth and became an instant hit in 2008.


After a gap of five years in 2013 he came with a multi starrer with Prince Mahesh Babu and Victory Venkatesh with the multi starrer Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. With this film he won the hearts of even overseas viewers.

Both the films are produced by Dil Raju. Srikanth made his entry as assistant director and also worked as associated director. He turned assistant director for Arya in 2004 and from then formed a successful rapport with Dil raju. 

Dil Raju who was impressed with Srikanth gave him 9000Rs and asked him to come with a story and also work for Bommarillu. After Bommarillu, he impressed Dil Raju with Kotha Bangaru Lokam. 

 After nearly two years, Sreekanth began working on a multi-starrer movie Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Once again produced by Dil Raju, the movie stars Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu. The movie released on 11 January 2013 and got huge response from all over the world

Srikanth even penned lyrics for Kotha Bangaru Lokam.

Profile

Neelakanta is native of Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. He studied in Loyola Public School and Loyola College in Vijayawada. While he was doing his schooling, he had the interest in movies. After his graduation, he had lost the interest in studies and moved to Chennai to join film direction.

Film debut



Neelakanta always wanted to make films which have a striking a balance between Art and Commerce. It materialized with Show followed by Missamma. He received two national awards for Show, one for Best Screenplay and the other for the Best Feature Film in Telugu.
He then made Sada Mee Sevalo, with Shriya and Venu in lead roles, and later made a psychological thriller, Nandanavanam 120km. Both flopped at the box office but the latter got huge critical acclaim. These were followed by Mr Medhavi. with Genelia and Raja in the lead roles: it proved to be an above-average grosser. He also wrote dialogues for a Telugu remake of the Hindi hit A Wednesday, entitled Eeenadu.
