Veeramachaneni Jagapathi Chowdhury is is one of the senior actors prevailing in the cinema industry who is well known as Jagapathi Babu. He is well known for his manly looks and piercing eyes and is a hit among the married women. Actor Jagapathi Babu has a huge fan following among married women, as many married women fantasize him as their dream man and also have disclosed it openly in many TV interviews. Actor jagapathi Babu feels privileged to be a dream boy many married women and also feels shy that, they fantasize about him, instead of their husbands in their dreams. He also acted in few Tamil films and in a Kannada film.He was born on 12th February 1965 in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh to a couple V.B.Rajendra Prasad, a big Producer and Director. From his young age only, Jagapathi Babu is much interested in acting. After the finishing of his studies, He entered the Film Industry and is just rocking. Jagapathi Babu is a well known actor in portraying roles such as a husband or a lover, the senior actor acts in films, which suit to his age. He never acts in young hero roles or in characters, which doesn’t suit his body language. Actor jagapathi Babu is seen in roles which show him as an angry young man and has a toned body, to suit action hero characters like a commando, police officer and a good hearted goon. Since, the trend of multi starrer films struck Telugu cinema industry, almost a decade ago, Jagapathi Babu is seen in dual hero oriented movie subjects and the success rate of his films is also 100 percent when he acts in multi starrers. Jagapathi Babu has a unique recognition in the Telugu film Industry. He did different kinds of movies which include action and comedy. Jagapathi Babu is the second hero in Tollywood who had done movies with two wives after Late Sri Shoban Babu.Jagapathi Babu is a very handsome and manly person.He is also very kind in nature.
Film Journey
Jagapathi Babu made his debut in Telugu Cinema with the movie “Simha Swapnam” in the year 1989. The movie, starring rebel star Krishnam Raju in the lead, was directed by his father. He has acted in about a dozen movies (playing lead roles in few), but was unable to build up his stardom. He had his breakthrough in the form of “Gaayam” directed by Ram Gopal Varma in the year 1993. Since then, he has given several hits. He won the Nandi Award for Best Actor in 1996 for his role in the movie “Maavi Chiguru” directed by S V Krishna Reddy. Two years later, he won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film “Anthahpuram.” In 2000, he won the Nandi Best Actor Award for the second time for his performance in the movie “Manoharam”. Similarly, he bagged the Nandi Best Supporting Actor Award for the second time in the year 2007 for his role in the movie “Lakshyam”. His first tamil film is “Madrasi” which was released in 2006 and In 2011 which play as antagonist in “Thaandavam”. His recent release in Telugu was “Jai Bolo Telangana”. He has worked with noted directors like A. M. Rathnam, Ram Gopal Varma, Krishna Vamsi, S.V. Krishna Reddy, Guna Sekhar, Radha Mohan, Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, M. Raja, and J. D. Chakravarthy.

Jagapathi Babu received seven Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards. Recently he received the Kala Bhushana Award, for his contribution to cinema, by TSR Lalitha kala Parishat of Andhra Pradesh. Here is the list of
