Chiranjeevi is known to have played many macho roles on Tollywood silver screen. His daring,dashing and dynamic personality on silver screen bought immense fan following making him the supreme hero. He went on to become Mega Star enjoying mass following.
Chiru though played lady character in Chantabbai sizzling for few seconds in a song, but mostly played heroic roles. However now he is seen clad in a saree wearing bangles. This after he became Union Minister and agreed to the division of Andhra Pradesh.
Chiru is wearing saree not in reel life or even in real life but protesters for United Andhra Pradesh prepared portraits of Chiranjeevi clad in saree and started beating it with chappals. One wonder how much more ignonimy Chiru should face. This is for the second time he is facing such a severe backlash after merging his Praja Rajyam party with Congress to become Union Minister.
Only time he was hailed as hero in politics was when he stood for united Andhra Pradesh after Chidambaram's December 9 announcement. Had he stood his ground he would have enjoyed immense popularity even now.
